John's Plans for 2024

A note from John:

After a long layoff from running due to both injury and covid which having come shortly after the death of my father hit me hard, I fell out of love with any exercise and became a couch potato for a while. I turned 60 in November and this was the catalyst to get off my arse - I started smallish with 5k park runs and whilst these were a challenge I was pleased I could still do them.

I have continued with park runs most weekends and did my first 10k trail run on Sunday 28th April, it wasn't pretty but I completed it.

Going forward I will be doing the GNR for the first time in a few years, whilst I would not normally class this as a major challenge after the last 4 years I now do, so I am asking if anyone does want to sponsor me it is for Alzheimer's so, if you can, please do.

If this goes well other more challenging events will follow
