In the heart of Dublin is one of Europe's largest city parks, and for one day every year, a 10k course that challenges runners of all abilities and ambitions. The day is an opportunity to escape from the roads and pavements and into the grassland and tree-lined curves that the 1,750-acre space has to offer. A potential world heritage site in the near future, should the government be successful, the beauty of the course location is also backed up by its credentials as the only race in Ireland to be recognised by the International Association of Athletics (IAAF).

The Sheffield TENTENTEN is a thoroughly enjoyable 10k & 2.5k Fun run, this year celebrating its 5th Birthday, attracting around 1000 runners each year. The first edition was on the 10th October 2010, hence the funny name, and has stuck ever since. This truly is an all inclusive event, anyone from 4 upwards can compete in the 2.5 Fun Run, and 15 upwards for the 10k. The event is represented by all abilities, we have had international standard representation (see course record) and also many first timers aiming just to get round. Then there is the rest of the family, bring them along to enjoy the atmosphere. The course has been created with a twist of creativity and innovation. Its not your regular road race, it is run on grass, road, paved paths and woodland trails. Its a really nice mix, and introduces novices to the world of trail running gently. The course does have a few lumps and bumps, twists and turns, and all adds to the fun.
